lazy mornings reading and lazy afternoons playing
popsicles enjoyed
bottles of sunscreen used up
endless games of Sorry and Memory
afternoons running through the sprinkler
moments spent barefoot
trips for frozen yogurt with our library books
after supper walks/runs/bike rides with the dogs
jumps off the diving board and afternoons at the pool
swim and dance lessons (ballet, hip-hop and jazz!)
picnics and bike rides at the Greenway
heavenly homemade iced coffees (decaf. lots of decaf.)
story times and book clubs attended
girls' only manicure-marshmallow-movie nights!
coloring, sewing skirts, painting and crafts galore
goodies mailed to Hubby
and glasses of ice cold lemonade.
I know these sweet girls have missed their Daddy tremendously. My hope is that we succeeded in having such a fun, relaxed and fabulous summer that they perhaps missed him just a little bit less.
Summer, you were so very good to us. See you next year!
