We went on a field trip.

Little Sis' kindergarten class went on a field trip to a local farm, and I went along to chaperone. We got to pet and feed goats, calf & chickens, learn about foods we can make from ingredients grown in a garden, had a picnic lunch, collect our food scraps for the pigs, collect some freshly hatched eggs, plant sunflower seeds in a little pot, and go on a tractor ride. And, of course, riding a big yellow school bus to and from the farm itself.

My gaggle of chaperonees.

Little Sis and her bestie. I promise on a pint of Ben & Jerry's they did not plan their outfits. The kids were all encouraged to wear various school shirts, but the girls each picked their outfit of their own volition. We were so tickled to arrive and find the girls dressed so similarly and creatively.

Little Sis told me her favorite part of the day was when the baby goat nibbled at her fingers.
It was a wonderful, perfectly lovely day. The perfect spring day for a field trip.

Other than me sneezing no less than 1000 times in the few short hours we where there.
