The grandparents seemed rather concerned about how their granddogs were adjusting to life in the Midwest. We needed to send pictures with texts to confirm their good health until we were set up on both ends for Skype. Now, when we sit down at the desk they sit down next to us, wagging their tails eagerly as if waiting to hop onto our laps and look into the adoring, computer screen faces of their extended family. Funny, no?
Rest assured, they are doing just fine. They like spending more time outdoors, they like hiking with us, visits from our neighbors' yellow lab (who is constantly getting out of their yard), and rolling around together in our lush, green grass.
Walter, our country boy, was born not far from where we live now. The quantity of squirrels here captivate him.
Squirrel! Squirrel!
This little guy does not sit still for the camera.

Obviously.

Sampson, our city boy, is digging his new surroundings, too. He is an avid birder. And, subsequently, an avid yapper. But we still love him.

He likes dragging himself across the grass and scratching his belly.

Don't let his frou-frou demeanor fool you; he is an
ace at playing fetch. Way better than his brother.

Yes, his tongue was out in every picture I took of him. We had just finished a fantastic game of fetch.
And that is a blog post completely dedicated to our very loved dogs. I warned you.
