We are thinking (hoping?) it is due to the recent moves of her two close girlfriends. It must be hard and stressful for her, so we are doing our best to be understanding and patient. It's just a bit surprising how strong her reaction has been. And a little bit frustrating, of course, seeing as how we are the people she is taking her anger out on. But, of course, we're trying hard not to let her see our frustration.
The other morning Sis threw a doozy. Refused to go to the bathroom, refused to get dressed, kept yelling that she didn't want to go to school, because today was computer lab and computer lab was "boring," threw herself on the floor crying hysterically, ETC. Not good, poor thing.
We just did our best to stay calm and remind her that attending school was her job, and being on time was part of the deal. We ended up driving her to make it in time, but it mostly went fine. And we assume, having not heard otherwise from her teacher, that she has been her usual cheerful self while at school.
We discovered the Doodle Pad by the shoe rack later in the morning. (I moved it into better light for the pic, and had her beloved Bun Bun hold it up for me).
It helped us see the humor in a hairy situation.
