Remember how we took that trip to Flagstaff at the end of March and watched Hubby perform in various gigs, including the Armed Forces Day Parade through downtown?
Yeah... these are those pictures.
Finally. It's my blog, so neener.
Saturday morning, after our free continental breakfast of Belgian waffles, yogurt, juice and more waffles, found us in downtown Flagstaff awaiting the start of the parade.

Here comes the band!

Our favorite sousaphone player!

Little Sister enjoying her parade booty. (They're allowed 2 pieces during the parade; the rest we divvy up after supper over the following days. Or throughout a long road trip).

This is Big Sister in the midst of a completely horrible, embarrassing tantrum. We left the parade early as a result, and the 7 minute walk back to the van turned into a 17 minute 'cruising for an emotional bruising' by passerby. I'm assuming the "looks" were for me,
Worst Mother of the Year recipient, as 5 year old children are still prone to screaming and crying fits from time to time, and should not be judged on such as ill behaved.

After a rest period at the hotel, we went back out for some family fun around Flagstaff!

Little Sister's 'scary' face is cute...

Big Sis' 'scary' face is... erm, disgusting... in an adorable way!

Much better! Minus the midriff. I promise, their shirts are long enough when I buy them...

A walk around downtown Flagstaff before picking up some Pato Thai for another picnic at Wheeler Park!

Big Sister writing letters to her friends, because she missed them while she was gone from school. This girl is sounding out words on her own now!
We really enjoy watching Hubby perform, and one of the many perks of being a stay-at-home-mom is the flexibility in our schedule that allows us to be 'groupies.'
All in all, a wonderful weekend with the family!!
