1. Wake up at least six consecutive mornings promptly at 7 a.m. due to the bright, natural light filling your bedroom. On the seventh morning, decide to make hanging your curtains your first priority.
2. Decide coffee and feeding the children breakfast should
actually be first priority.

3. Bribe the fed children with PBS Kids TV so you can hang your curtains without
whining interruption.

4. Still in your PJ's, gather supplies to hang curtains. This will include, but is not limited to: pencil, 2 screwdrivers, electric drill/screwdriver, tape measure, level, pliers, 2 incomplete curtain rod sets from
Walmart from your last house that you are hoping to combine and reuse into 1 entire set, 2
nd pencil for when your first one breaks, and the completely awesome laser level that your darling Hubby brought home for you after you attempted to hang the living room curtains for 2 1/2 hrs. before giving up because it wouldn't hang right due to the fact that your ordinary level is only 1 foot long and the window spans 84 in. wide.

5. Get on chair in open window still in PJ's. Make sure blinds are closed so neighbors don't see you standing on a chair in your PJ's. Measure, fuss, and fret for 20 minutes to get the first curtain rod wall mount drilled in 'just so.'

6. Bring on the laser level! Then promptly move across the window frame to repeat step 5.
7. Accurately set the 2
nd curtain rod wall mount on the opposite side.
8. Spend too much time mixing and matching the 5 empty, cheap-o curtain rod pieces and combined into 1 usable, complete curtain rod.
9. Attempt to hang empty cheap, slightly bent curtain rod from the wall mounts to check their levelness and install the mid-rod support hook.
10. Get really frustrated when the 1 complete curtain rod will
not stay hooked onto the wall mounts because it is still slightly bent and cannot be fixed using pliers no matter how much you try.
11. Throw
all cheap-o rods in the trash. Leave curtains and supplies all over chair and bed.

12. Realize it is now after 10 a.m., you are still in your PJ's and your children are still watching PBS Kids.
13. Write
buy new curtain rod/hang bedroom curtains as #1 on Hubby's weekend "To-Do" list.

too funny!!!!!!
I'm highly amused at Amelia playing with her belly button while watching TV :)
You are a great photographer - you even make the window sill look so artistic! I think you have a career in photography - that is, if your current job as curtain-hanger falls through ;)
