As it turns out, the only down side to your husband getting a promotion is you are kicked off the waiting list for your intended next duty assignment, as they are at 150% capacity for his impending rank.
We will have stability in our sweet (but little!) house for one more year. One more year to enjoy our amazing school, my ideal part-time job, and proximity to family in St. Louis. Plus loads of other lovely perks. It's really not so bad.
However, as I am unaccustomed to staying put for three consecutive years or more, it has given me an strong urge to redecorate in inexpensive, DIY ways. The kitchen is the first victim, always.
No kitchen is complete without art that references 80's pop music, amiright?
Not only did this chicken recently turn seven years old, but Little Sister finally lost that top tooth. It was barely hanging in there for the last two weeks, and just became... gross looking. A little scuffling with Big Sis cured that. Once again, she has the sweetest smile we ever did see.
Fall is my favorite season, but summer is my favorite time of year. I am thoroughly enjoying spending lots and lots of time with my little ladies.
Also, who doesn't love to sleep until six-thirty in the a.m. and take their cup of coffee back into bed with a book while the kiddos sleep late?!

love your kitchen and your beautiful girls and love when you post! :) congrats on another year there - do you know where you will be next? is the plan a move every few years? this is the first time we are "settled" somewhere for possibly forever and it makes me so nervous. i miss moving! (although if we were moving i would surely be wishing we were settled, you know how it is). love to you, dear old friend.
