A fun afternoon for our family...

We spent an overcast afternoon exploring just a little bit of Nashville recently, more specifically a botanical garden. The girls enjoyed looking at a train exhibit, beautiful and colorful flowers in the various gardens, as well as a portion of the art museum. The video installations certainly held their attention a bit more than the traditional paintings. Kids will be kids, right? Not exactly connoisseurs of fine art ourselves, we looked at the art and talked about the colors we saw, how the colors made us feel, what sort of objects, animals, people we saw (or imagined) to be in the painting, etc.

All in all, a lovely day with the family.
