This Week...

Or last week... whatever... it's all recent.
  • Big Sister had her bestie M for a sleepover! This was a first for us, but I think we done good. Homemade pizza, s'mores and Tangled before heading to bed just a little bit late, followed by pancakes, bacon and fresh fruit salad for breakfast.
  • Swim lessons are going well! Little Sister is learning a lot and having a blast; they positively wear out our *almost* 4 year old girl. So much so that she's napping again since the first time in... almost a year!
  • yard sale shopping yielded a blast from the past for $0.25. It is a lovely addition to our growing stack of board games and puzzles! We heart family game time!
  • Walter had a small scratch on his right arm. After 2 weeks of constant licking, and continuously ripping off our bandages, it still wouldn't heel. In fact, it was three times it's original size. Scared he would give himself gangrene or trichinosis or something, we took him to the veterinarian for a check-up and came out with everything needed to get this guy healthy again. Including, but not limited to: the cone of shame. Poor little Walter moped around looking like we'd committed the absolute greatest offense against his manhood, but his wound is now healing great.
  • listening to the entire Tangled soundtrack most mornings during breakfast, and evenings during bath time. Big Sister tells us, "It's like watching the movie, but in your head." The entire family now has all the lyrics memorized, and we've taken to encouraging the girls to branch out and include some classic rock and blue grass in their music mix. So far, no dice.
P.S. I know dogs cannot get trichinosis. It's simply my go-to diagnosis for hypochondriasis jokes.
Have a great week!
