Our crafts this week, obviously, included all things pink and heart shaped. Lots of hearts. I tried to illustrate to Amelia that when you mix red and white, you get the color pink. She tried to illustrate to me that they tasted exactly the same.
The girls just adore reading Four Valentines In a Rain Storm by Felicia Bond, more so lately than usual. In the story, a little girl named Cornelia Augusta mails her friends specially made Valentine's. I decided the perfect craft for today would be the girls painting and decorating their very own 'mail boxes,' so tomorrow morning they, too, could receive some Valentines made especially for them. As we were making our Valentines for loved ones this week, Hannah kept saying, "I know exactly who to send this to." That darling girl.
