Our summer vacation time has finally arrived! We've been working hard this summer and deserved a break. We are currently enjoying our 10 day trip to beautiful Billings, Montana, and included was a three day trip to Yellowstone National Park. The girls had their first "pampered-camping" experience at Yellowstone; a 20' x 20' cabin with two beds and a sink, and a restroom with 'indoor' plumbing located in a separate building within walking distance. On our walks and mostly drives through the park we saw three bears, two moose, herds of bison and several elk, and a coyote! Hannah especially enjoyed seeing the animals, and we witnessed some as close as 20 feet away! We were in the vehicle for those, obviously, and took lots of amazing photographs. We will be sure to post them once we get home.
During our time in Billings we've enjoyed 'hanging out' with Amanda's parents, walking to a local bakery for some delicious breakfast breads, playing at the park, visiting the downtown Billings area with it's galleries and fun shopping, and just relaxing all around. Eric and Joe, Amanda's dad, also took an afternoon to go shooting together. Ask Eric how he came back in need of stitches above his right eye!
It has been a truly great trip, and we really enjoyed our time spent in Montana with Amanda's parents. Hannah and Amelia had a wonderful time bonding with their GrandMia and Papa, and they, too, seemed to get a kick out of our silly, energetic girls. We will be sad to leave. Thank you, Joe and Temia, for a wonderful trip!
