Is springtime approaching? We hope so! Our family has not really enjoyed being cooped up in the house the last month as rain storms, snow storms and stomach flu's visited our Fort Knox home. We look forward to warmer temperatures, sunshine, and utilizing our sandbox and large box of sidewalk chalk as soon as possible. Hannah and Amanda also look forward to playing in the dirt and planting some flowers outside!
Hannah only wants to plant purple and pink flowers, but we're hoping to expand her horizons with more variety. She is still enjoying dance class very much, and just last week learned ballet's first position placement for her feet. Often times we catch her doing her stretches at home, or pretending the coffee table is the 'ballet bar.'
Amelia is beginning to 'cruise' using furniture, and is as happy and outspoken as ever. She is applying the phrase, "ma ma ma ma," when looking at Mommy, "da da da," when looking at Daddy, and she uses her baby sign language to say, "milk." Often. Amelia is a well-fed little girl!
Eric is still attending the University of Phoenix, in the midst of a big graphic design project at work--a promotional Army Band pamphlet, and is also now part of the Fort Knox Dixie Band, which will keep him very busy with parades and ceremonies this spring and summer.
Amanda recently accepted a part time library technician position at Barr Memorial Public Library here on Fort Knox. She is very excited to explore this career path, build professional acquaintances, and not change any diapers during the time she is gone. The girls will attend the Child Development Center on base when necessary and also stay home with Daddy when possible. Hannah is tickled at the idea that soon Mommy will go to work while Daddy stays home to play instead.
And that wraps up the month of February for us. Hooray for springtime!
